About Sims Industries

Sims Industries turns scientific research into software people can use. We take validated models and research code and build the applications engineers and analysts use every day.

What We Do

Research code is written to prove a point. The people who need the results want software that installs cleanly, runs on their laptop, and doesn't require reading the source. Research code is rarely that.

That's the part we do: architecture, interface design, cross-platform packaging, validation against reference implementations, deployment, and maintenance afterward.

National Laboratory Partnerships

Much of our work is done with Sandia National Laboratories. We built the cross-platform desktop applications for HyRAM+, the hydrogen risk-assessment toolkit, and HELPR, a probabilistic fracture-mechanics platform for hydrogen pipeline integrity. We developed FFIAM, a volumetric irradiance analysis model for concentrating solar power fields, released open source through Sandia's OpenCSP ecosystem.

Solar

ForgeSolar is our solar glare analysis platform, built on SGHAT technology co-developed with Sandia National Laboratories and used for FAA compliance and regulatory approval.
